Tam -

I hope you don't feel the need to indiviually respond to these notes on your blog. The general acknowledgment you refer to is sufficient for me!! Keep your blogs up. It will be your only sense of release that can give you satisfaction. Besides it makes it an easy way to see how you're doing without sending you emails.

Prayers are powerful and God does listen. Things don't go as we request God to make them, but he sends other people and things to you that you may have not met.

I am so thankful you have been blessed by helpful nurses and techs and transport people in your medical journey. Keep remembering them when you meet Nurse Hatchet! Or Nurse Clueless! They are the is the exception!!!!

I can relate to you about those visitors. They don't have a clue to their surroundings. And older people are so accustomed to coming to the hospital and having to share all aspects of their bodily functions, they assume everyone wants to participate. Oh and those curtains, well you said it. Where aer those people that created HIPPA (gov. regs insuring that no one knows your medical business except those taking care of you) where are they when the magical barriere curtains are being used? Oh, yes, I am a nurse, work nights to avoid family visitors (and lots of other homeschool reasons)

Hi Tamara,

I'm so sorry to hear about your day today. And its perfectly ok to have a break down and a pity party for yourself. If I were you I'd probably be having them daily. When I had my hysterectomy last year I was such a big baby. You hang in there! Your doing great! You'll get through this!

I'm glad I finally came to check out your blog. Your writing is so enjoyable, your sense of humor...wow. But what else works as well to help us face the hardest stuff of life? I mean besides family and friends. Thank you.

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear you are enduring more than you bargained for . . . . prayers are with you and chicken soup will be freshly delivered when you are ready for it. Just say the word. Be strong and focus on you. There's a saying I always lean into during the darkest hours -- "If God brings you to it, he'll get you through it." Hang in there and know you are loved. /kc

My thoughts and prayers are with you (and of course your wonderful family). I, too, am going through this terrible "stuff" but I m one of the lucky ones with type 1 but still have complications. There s not a better family in this world that could help you thru this and that is "yours"!! Will look forward to your updates. Thanks, Barb and Bill

Hi Tamara,

It was so good to talk to you today. You sound marvelous! (ok, that didn't quite match Billy Crystal on SNL, but then again, I'm not a "professional" comedian).

Anyway, I just wanted to sign your guestbook to let you know I was here and that I was thinking about you. Well, you already know I was thinking about you since I called.

Love,
John

Hi, Karen!
I was in Walmart last week looking for you. I couldn't really stay, as we were picking up prescriptions (that & the fact that Matt is driving me crazy by making me stay home - ugh). I'll probably see you before Christmas, because I'm not doing chemo until afterwards. I should be there to do some last minute stuff.
Thanks for checking in on me!
Tam

Hi Tamara -- My prayer for you tomorrow is that God's presence will be experienced before, during and after your surgery. I pray that He gives you the peace that the world does not know and that your Daddy in heaven will care for you.
